Solitude Resort Summer Wedding: Lexi & Ford
Lexi & Ford’s Solitude wedding is one I will NEVER forget. We celebrated not just one, but TWO beautiful mountain ceremonies! They said they just had way too much they wanted to include they needed to spread it across two days.
Welcome Ceremony
On day one we rode the ski lift up to a beautiful mountain lodge for the first ceremony. Lexi’s gorgeous floral dress and Ford’s green suit were the perfect compliment to the mountain scenery and wildflowers. They had friends serenade us with music and poetry. We warmed their rings. We all cried, myself included! It was the perfect way to start the weekend.
The Big Day!
Lexi and Ford arrived on Saturday in one of the most fun and elegant dresses I’ve seen and a stunning white tuxedo. They looked stunning as confidence radiated from their faces. The ceremony went off without a hitch, with plenty more unique personal touches incorporated. Including a blessing on the couple where every person in attendance touched the shoulders of the person in front of them leading up to the couple. It was magical to see 250 people connected in such a genuine way.
As the ceremony wrapped up and the light shifted into evening we had a little bit of rain that everyone absolutely loved! It gave the cocktail party a wonderland vibe and helped cool things down. Nothing but smiles from everyone. :)
The Reception & Dance Party
Once the fantastic Solitude buffet dinner concluded , the dance floor took over. First dances, toasts, then a rager of a dance party! I couldn’t have asked for anything better out of a summer wedding at Solitude. We had it all. I think I probably had as much fun photographing this wedding as the guests did partying!
When the right couple finds the right photographer and good vibes are the goal, that’s where the magic happens. And that’s my goal with every single wedding I shoot!
