Delicate Arch Proposal: Jess + Chris

Every once in a while an opportunity presents itself that is impossible to turn down. Guys, take note: Chris and Jess are from Minnesota and have been together for years. He knew his proposal couldn't be average so he decided to go EPIC! I drove down to Arches National Park to meet them and their friends at the Delicate Arch Trailhead. Jess had NO idea what was happening so I told her I was an adventure lifestyle photographer and happened to be in Moab for the weekend and decided to tag along. This allowed me to shoot before the proposal without tipping our hand. When Jess and Chris stepped under the arch for a quick photo he dropped to his knee and popped the question. As soon as the hundred or so tourists that were watching realized what was happening, they started clapping and cheering. It was a purely magical moment! And of course, she said YES!! Gentlemen, this is how you do it :p After sharing a bottle of champagne we shot a few intimate portraits and hiked back to our cars. They headed back to Moab for a night of partying and I drove the four hours back to my house resisting the urge to pull over and look at the photos. This ended up being one of my grand adventures (and longest day) of the year. Enjoy the fun!
